Endur-glit I

Pillow. Recycled from a glitter woven tapestry from the first half of the last century. The design is based on a memory of a grandfather who laid down in the afternoon on the sofa in the living room and had a large pillow under his head. 

Old Icelandic patterns are placed in a conceptual context on top of other older work by another woman. Sewn with a diamond stitch from yarn that was left over from the work of yet another woman from a long time ago.
